About Dr. Shifrin

Gregory Shifrin, MD, is a skilled OB/GYN providing high-quality gynecologic surgical care at Surgery of Tomorrow, LLC, located in the Midwood neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York. He has more than 30 years of experience as an OB/GYN. Dr. Shifrin received his medical degree from Kuibyshev Medical Institute in 1981 and provided medical care in Russia for almost 10 years before immigrating to the United States in 1989 and making his home in the heart of Brooklyn

In 1996, Dr. Shifrin opened his own private practice, where he has been providing compassionate care and personal attention to his patients while running a modern and innovative facility. In 2016, Dr. Shifrin opened Surgery of Tomorrow, LLC, where he strives to provide patients the most cutting edge care with a focus on personal attention and compassion.

Dr. Shifrin is highly experienced in general gynecology, high- and low-risk obstetrics, minimally invasive laparoscopic procedures, vaginal reconstruction and repair, and diagnosis and treatment of infertility and sexually transmitted diseases. Dr. Shifrin is a board certified OB/GYN who has privileges at Cornell Medical Center in Manhattan and New York Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn

About Dr. Trakhtenberg

Yelena Trakhtenberg, MD, is a compassionate and patient-oriented OB/GYN serving patients at Surgery of Tomorrow, LLC, a gynecologic surgery practice located in the Midwood neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York. To better serve the diverse patient population of New York City, Dr. Trakhtenberg speaks both English and Russian. Dr. Trakhtenberg is originally from Russian and earned her medical degree from the Russian State Medical University in Moscow. She started an internship in Kaliningrad and has practiced medicine since 1998.

Dr. Trakhtenberg is an understanding physician who takes the time to get to know her patients individually so she can better understand their condition and develop an appropriate treatment plan tailored to their needs. She takes a focused and individual approach to health care, optimizing each patient’s treatment by dialing in on what they need to restore their health and well being. Her keen skill and years of experience allow her to narrow down exactly what each patient needs to achieve ideal health outcomes.

About Dr. Vaynkhadler

Mark Vaynkhadler, MD, is a patient-oriented and award-earning OB/GYN serving patients at Surgery of Tomorrow, LLC, a gynecologic surgery practice located in the Midwood neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York. To better serve the diverse patient population of New York City, Dr. Vaynkhadler speaks both English and Russian. Dr. Vaynkhadler completed his residential training at St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York. He most recently taught at both St. Luke’s and NYU and has practiced medicine since 2006.

Dr. Vaynkhadler is an understanding physician who takes the time to get to know his patients individually. He also has special interests in ritual and medical newborn circumcisions, medical ethics, and minimally invasive hospital and office-based surgery.

Dr. Larysa Aheyeva, DO is an experienced obstetrician-gynecologist providing high-quality women’s health care with Gregory Shifrin OBGYN PC, a comprehensive obstetrics and gynecology practice serving patients throughout Brooklyn, Manhattan, and the Bronx, New York City.

She earned her medical degree from NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, where she developed the skills to diagnose and manage a broad range of gynecologic and obstetric conditions.
